The book launch of Maija Savolainen’s When the Sense of Belonging is Bound to a System of Movement, the Nordic Dummy Award winner book of 2013, will be taking place at Fotogalleriet on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 7 o’clock. The artist will be present for signing of the book.
The book presents a lucid concept and a compact project, combining factual research of light as hand drawn diagrams with «down to earth» photography. It is the result of a new collaboration with Kehrer Verlag Heidelberg that will also publish the subsequent winner books of the Nordic Dummy Award (2014 and 2015).

This year’s guest of honor is Finland, and Gallery Taik Persons together with the Department of Media at Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture are very much delighted to announce that the book release of the new Helsinki School publication - Helsinki School - From the Past to the Future - published by Hatje Cantz, will take place at the fair.
Following the first four volumes of the Helsinki School, this new publication looks back at the development of this group of photographers over the past twenty years and traces the emergence of the photographic tendency bearing this name.

Anni Leppälä is having a solo exhibition titled Anni Leppälä: Forest Interior at Turku Art Museum, October 10 to November 16.
Leppälä’s works attach to the process of change but they also reach out to what is unseen and unidentified. What is recognized in her pictures might just be the subtle and lingering, hidden dimensions.
